Audi A6

One of our favorite midsize luxury sedans, the 2022 Audi A6 exudes style, technology and performance in equal measure. This year, updates underscore the A6's tech-forward stance. Every 2022 A6 has standard next-generation Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus digital instrumentation and expanded infotainment functions. The A6 also adds wireless Android Auto smartphone compatibility to sit alongside wireless Apple CarPlay, and expanded Amazon Alexa integration is offered through Audi Connect Prime and Plus service subscriptions.

Which A6 does MatoCar recommend?

The 2022 Audi A6 is available in Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels, each available with one or more option packages.

Audi also offers a choice between two engines, each featuring mild hybrid systems to boost efficiency:

• The A6 45 TFSI features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder (261 horsepower, 273 lb-ft) and is available with the Premium and Premium Plus trims.
• The A6 55 TFSI has a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 (335 hp, 369 lb-ft) and is available with all three trim levels.

Both engines employ a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which sends power to all four of the sedan's wheels.

Premium Audi equips the A6 Premium with:

An optional Convenience package for the Premium includes:

• Heated steering wheel
• Wireless charging pad
• Blind-spot intervention (automatically steers the car back into its lane if you try to change lanes while a car is in the vehicle's blind spot)
• Rear cross-traffic alert (warns you if a vehicle behind you is about to cross your vehicle's path while you're in reverse)
• Surround-view camera system (gives you a top-down view of the A6 and its surroundings for tight parking situations)

Premium Plus This trim builds on the A6 Premium with:

• Contents of the Convenience package
• Upgraded LED headlights
• 16-speaker audio system
• Adaptive cruise control (adjusts speed to maintain a constant distance between the vehicle and the car in front)
• Lane keeping system (makes minor steering corrections to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane)

The optional Executive package for the Premium Plus trim bundles:

• Four-zone climate control
• Ventilated front seats
• Four-way power lumbar adjustment for the front seats
• Heated rear seats
• Multicolor LED ambient interior lighting
• Power-operated trunk

Prestige Choosing the top-of-the-line A6 Prestige adds:

• Contents of the Executive package
• Upgraded HD matrix headlights
• Dual-pane acoustic glass
• Rear and rear side window shades
• Power soft-closing doors
• Head-up display (displays important information in your sight line on the windshield)
• Front cross-traffic alert (warns you if a vehicle ahead of you is about to cross your path while you're moving forward)

You can add the Luxury package to the Prestige to get:

• Upgraded leather upholstery
• Additional leather trim within the cabin
• Massaging front seats

All versions of the 2022 A6 are available with a Black Optic Sport package:
