The Hyundai Palisade is a midsize SUV with three rows of seats. This is an ideal configuration for many shoppers since it provides plenty of space for people and luggage without the need to step up to a large SUV or a minivan. The Palisade ranks a very close second to the MatoCar' Top Rated Kia Telluride, which should come as no surprise considering they're closely related under the bodywork. Each has its own style, however, with the Palisade taking on a more luxurious vibe.

There's no shortage of competitors in the midsize three-row SUV market. Besides the Telluride, you might want to also check out the well-rounded Honda Pilot, roomy Volkswagen Atlas or fuel-efficient Toyota Highlander Hybrid. But the Palisade is a standout even in this highly regarded group. Check out our Expert Rating below for our test team's full evaluation of the Palisade's comfort, utility and more.

The SEL is the sweet spot in the Palisade lineup. It doesn't cost much more than the SE and comes with an impressive number of quality-of-life upgrades such as heated front seats and keyless entry with push-button start. There are also a couple of option packages that allow you to get more features without jumping all the way to the Limited or Calligraphy.

The 2022 Hyundai Palisade is a three-row midsize SUV sold in four trims: SE, SEL, Limited and Calligraphy. All are powered by a 3.8-liter V6 (291 horsepower, 262 lb-ft of torque) that is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is an option on all trims.

A second-row bench seat with seating for eight is standard on the SE and optional for the SEL. The SEL, Limited and Calligraphy come with second-row captain's chairs that reduce capacity to seven.
