  • The ability to share the supercar experience with up to four passengers
  • Immense acceleration and enjoyable handling
  • Luxurious interior with high-quality materials

  • Easily recognizable switchgear and parts from less exclusive Audis

  • No significant changes expected for 2022
  • Part of the first Urus generation introduced for 2019

The 2022 Lamborghini Urus is an exotic high-performance SUV. When it comes to carrying people and cargo, it doesn't get much faster than this. A powerful V8, sport-tuned suspension and a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system that works wonders at managing traction make the Urus feel like a true Lamborghini. The Urus' interior and exterior design draws a lot of influence from other Lamborghini models, especially the Huracan, so it looks like one, too.

The Urus sits in fairly rarefied air. Other high-performance SUVs include the Aston Martin DBX, Maserati Levante Trofeo and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid. There's also the mechanically related Bentley Bentayga and Audi RS Q8. While it comes at a cost, there's nothing on the road quite like the Urus if you want performance, comfort and personality. Check out our Expert Rating to get our test team's full take on this Lamborghini SUV.

Which Urus does MatoCar recommend?

The Urus is only available in a single, highly customizable trim level, so there's not much to recommend beyond that we'd get the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems package. It includes a number of driver aids including additional exterior cameras and self-parking functions.

[Editor's note: The following information is based on last year's Lamborghini Urus. We expect the 2022 Urus will have a similar trim level structure and we'll update this section once we have complete information.] The Lamborghini Urus is available in a single trim level, though there are a wide array of options and features that allow for a high level of customization. All Urus models use a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 (641 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque), an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Standard features for the Urus include:

  • 21-inch wheels
  • Carbon-ceramic brakes
  • Rear-axle torque-vectoring system plus four-wheel steering (enhances cornering agility)
  • Adjustable air suspension system
  • Active roll control (minimizes body roll when cornering)
  • Adaptive LED headlights
  • Power-adjustable, heated front seats
  • Digital instrument cluster
  • Dual-screen infotainment system
  • Navigation system
  • Wireless device charging
  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

Every Urus also comes standard with:

  • Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Urus and the vehicle in front)
  • Blind-spot monitoring (alerts you if a vehicle in the next lane over is in your blind spot)
  • Head-up display (displays important information in your sight line on the windshield)

Lamborghini also offers a wealth of optional customization extras. Highlights include:

  • Different wheel sizes and styles
  • Custom exterior and interior trim materials and colors
  • Panoramic glass roof
  • Off-road package (extra drive modes, underbody protection, special front and rear bumpers)
  • Night vision system (displays the view from an infrared camera in the gauge cluster)
  • Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)
  • Dashcam system with forward- and rear-facing cameras
  • Studded snow tires for extra traction in especially icy areas
  • Premium Lamborghini and Bang & Olufsen sound systems
